Today, we are frequently introduced to new fads and gimmicks that are guaranteed to make us lose weight quickly and/or look fantastic in a short period of time! As a result, we have become rather skeptical about new fitness products that come out on the market.
Kettlebell training isn’t actually new. In fact, they have been used in Russia since ancient times to build strength, flexibility, and endurance. However, kettlebell training was not introduced in the U.S. until recent years, and it has been even more recently that the popularity of kettlebells in America has begun to grow.
Is What You Hear About The Effectiveness Of Kettlebell Training True?
I wanted to find out for myself just how well kettlebells actually work. Not wanting to risk injury or strain, I began with a 10-pound kettlebell and a kettlebell workout video.
I chose to begin with a total-body kettlebell workout. That particular workout lasted only ten minutes, but that was long enough to work up a good sweat and to feel the power of the kettlebell.
Once I completed the total-body exercises, I decided to challenge myself further and attempt the upper body portion of the workout video. Whew! Now, I was really feeling the kettlebell doing its job! Nevertheless, I continued with the kettlebell abdominal exercises, putting in a total of 30 minutes on my first kettlebell workout routine.
Unless you exercise regularly, I recommend you begin with a lightweight kettlebell, pick one ten-minute kettlebell exercise routine to do at first, and gradually increase the length and intensity of your workout. You may be surprised to discover just how well your body is worked in that ten minute period.
Is it true what you hear about kettlebells? Let me just say that I’m convinced that kettlebell workouts are one of the most efficient ways to get into shape and stay that way!
What Kettlebell Training Can Do For You
Exercising with kettlebells will, indeed, improve your metabolism and burn calories very effectively. As you shed fat, kettlebells will help you build lean muscle tissue. They will increase your flexibility and physical strength. They will also improve your endurance and overall fitness.
Kettlebells can be fairly inexpensive, and they are quite durable. They are basically weights that are shaped like cannonballs with handles on top and flat bottoms. Certain kettlebell training exercises require that you grasp the handle. Other exercises are better performed by holding onto the flat bottom.
The concept of using kettlebells during workouts is total body integration. Because you do incorporate the lower body and upper body together, kettlebell exercises produce great results in less time than most other forms of exercise.
Your body will respond favorably to regular kettlebell training routines, and you will soon notice a firmer, shapelier you. Not only will you look better, you will also feel stronger and healthier! Kettlebells can help you to achieve your fitness goals and get into the best physical condition of your life.
As a kettlebell user, myself, I can attest that if you perform the exercises with the proper form and techniques and be consistent with your workouts, you will be happy with the results!
