Are Kettlebell Workouts Effective?

For men, Kettlebells can help them increase strength and size by performing the clean and press, front squat, rows, swings, and snatches. These same movements can help women tighten up their glutes, quads, abs, and arms.

The reason why Kettlebells are so much more difficult to maneuver, hence more effective, than dumbbells is because it has a thick handle. Those that have been lifting weights for quite some time, realize that making the handle of a dumbbell or barbell thicker is one way to make a movement more difficult.

In addition to the thick handle, the shape of the Kettlebell itself forces you to use more stabilizer muscles. You’re basically lifting a chunk of iron where the weight is not equally split up, the way it is in a dumbbell.

It is time to train like an athlete…like a warrior…like a man (or woman) who lets nothing stand in their way. The time for “Easy Workouts” and “Slow Cardio” has passed. It it time to embrace the past…to embrace strength…and to embrace mental toughness.

Over the past few decades a culture of bodybuilding has infected the fitness world. Average, everyday people have been doing biceps curls and training with machines to get “in shape.” And it is these “trainers” that tell them to do such things.

Well, it’s time to get out of the gym, and to do some REAL training. Yes, I’m talking about Kettlebell training. One kettlebell is all you need to increase muscular endurance, lose fat, and build size and strength.

The best part about Kettlebells is the fact that they take up very little space. You can train your apartment, backyward, garage, or even at your local park. Even though I train with other implements besides Kettlebells, adding Kettlebells has brought a new level of intensity into my fitness plans.

Because of the intensity of Kettlebell training, MMA fighters such as Frank Shamrock and BJ Penn love Kettlebell training. Top strength coaches such as Ethan Reeve and Louis Simmons incorporate Kettlebell work when training their athletes.

If you really want a taste of Kettlebell training without actually buying a Kettlebell, then try this exercise: Grab one Dumbbell with one hand and perform a Dumbbell Swing. Perform 20 repetitions with one hand, then switch it over to the other hand.

That is one set. You are to perform 3 total sets of this, non stop. After this short workout, take a breather. Now imagine doing this with Kettlebells. Imagine how difficult it will be. Imagine how strong you’ll become and how much fat you’ll be able to burn off.

Combine Kettlebell training with a sound diet, and you will look amazing. Stop the pointless gym workouts and start training hardcore with Kettlebells! If you’re ready to try Kettlebell training, then you want to grab a solid training plan to go along with it.

So, what exactly are Kettlebells? Kettlebells look like bowling balls with handles and a flat bottom. Essentially, they are a huge chunk of iron. You can perform a variety of basic lifts such as bench press, squats, and rows.

However, the best way to use Kettlebells is to perform explosive movements such as snatches, swings, and cleans. In addition to these ballistic movements, you can also perform Turkish Get Ups, Bent Presses, and Windmills to develop a strong core and total body strength.
