If you have recently started working out then it is advisable to maintain an exercise and food journal with you. By keeping a journal you will not only monitor your progress but will also keep a watchful eye on your diet. Remember consistency and regularity is the key to success.
2. Test new foods
You might get bored with eating boiled chicken and vegetables every night. It is always fun to try new things. These days you can find many healthy recipes online. You can find free video cooking tutorials on websites such as YouTube. com. Experiment with different foods and come up with new healthy dishes.
3. Eat 5-6 small meals everyday
By consuming 5-6 small meals a day your metabolic rate will remain high and you won’t feel empty stomach. The 5-6 meals that you consume should be healthy meals. You can consume dry fruits, salads, fruits, lean meats and you can also consult your nutritionist or fitness trainer to help you shortlist the meals that should be included in your diet plan.
4. Look at training videos
Looking at fitness videos really helps me stay motivated towards my fitness goals. You might get bored by doing the same exercises everyday at the gym therefore try to learn new exercises. Furthermore, if you keep doing the same exercises everyday your body will get tuned to them and progress will be slow. Hence, it is always fun to change your workout every now and then.
5. Treat yourself once a week
You should not be too harsh on yourself. Hence, workout 6 days a week, eat healthy 6 days a week but allot a day during the week on which you should eat whatever you want. On this day don’t think about the calories, just eat what you like.
There are a lot of myths about weight reduction. I guarantee you that if you eat healthy and workout at least 5 days a week you will see visible change in your body within 3 months. Don’t be fooled by those fancy abs products and weight reduction pills. These products will only put a dent on your wallet.
The bottom line is that either you want something really bad or you don’t want it. If you want something then go out there and get it.
