Running Keeps Your Heart Fit

All of us want to be healthy in all parts of our body. We are always looking for ways to maintain our fitness.

One of the best activity for individual fitness is running. Running is formally defined as loping along at an easy pace for several minutes at a time and this should be without stopping. According to doctors, if this kind of exercise is done consistently, your heart will be kept healthy. Though running, blood can flow more easily through the coronary arteries. In addition, it increases the ability of the red blood cells to carry more oxygen. Furthermore, it strengthens the contraction of the heart muscle which improves the pumping action of the heart.

This increases the level of adrenalin in the blood which leads to the irritation of the heart muscle. According to experts, if the heart muscle is irritated, irregularities in its rhythm can occur and this is harmful. However, this can be prevented if you exercise your heart through running. Running exercises your heart automatically. Thus, you can include it in your fitness program.

Before considering running as part of your fitness program, consult first your doctor. Ask him/ her if you have conditions that might be made worse by running. If you do not have any, then you can pick already your running shoes. A good running shoes should have layered sole, built-up heel and arch. Tennis shoes and boots are not recommended. Be sure also to wear clothes that are loose-fitting and absorbent.

If you do it for the first time, start out slowly but you have to add at least two minutes each day until you reach the point that you can already run for thirty minutes. Experts strongly suggest that you should do running with rhythm for at least thirty minutes everyday. You have to perform this regularly to stay in shape. If you miss this, you will probably lose your fitness and you need to start all over again.

Put also in mind that you have to always warm up slowly when you are a beginner. Likewise, it is very important to always cool down afterwards. Specialists say that it is not good to jump up and start into a long run or stop running abruptly.
