Prostate Cancer Cured Naturally

There are many discussions regarding whether or not using natural cures for prostate cancer have any validity. However, many doctors and respected members of the scientific community have not jumped on the bandwagon of endorsing or recommending natural cures for prostate cancer. And one can imagine why; there is much pressure for medical doctors to only use scientifically proven therapies.

Through the years we have heard about many of the natural cures or treatments which are literally nothing more then the use of antioxidants, minerals, herbs and vitamins combined to form the basis or foundation of a diet filled with the proper nutritional needs required by cancer patients.

Saw Palmetto is frequently mentioned as a herb known to be regularly used as a natural cure for cancer based on its anabolic composition. Saw Palmetto has also been known to help those suffering with ED or erectile dysfunction. Pygeum seems to benefit those suffering with enlarged prostate while Cernilton is used as a treatment for prostatitis. Another herb called Bazoton or stinging nettle is sometimes used for prostate disorders.

There are also many variations of antioxidants that are used in natural remedies for prostate disorders and prostate cancer. They include Lycopene, Selenium and Resveratrol. Because these antioxidants haven’t been clinically proven to cure cancer they are usually sold as supplements.

One thing is for sure, the effectiveness of natural cures for prostate cancer has not garnered the respect from the medical profession and in many cases are still frowned upon as a means to treat prostate cancer and disorders. Perhaps that will change now as there is a very promising study recently completed at Columbia University.

In a recent publication by Dr. Aaron Katz he demonstrates that modified citrus pectin,(MCP) which is derived from the pith of citrus fruit, can prevent prostate cancer cell growth. It seems that this pectin may even stimulate cell death in prostate cancer cells; even including those that are aggressive forms of this disease.

Modified citrus pectin possesses properties that act against both types of prostate cancers, hormonal and hormonal resistant. This signals that modified citrus pectin may be valuable as both a preventive and as a therapeutic agent against malignancy. Dr. Jun Yan, the lead author, speculates that the modified citrust pectin being used in this research may be more readily absorbed into the human body allowing a higher concentration to reach the prostate gland.

This research suggests that MCP interferes with the binding properties of cancer cell surface proteins called galectins, preventing the cancer cells from adhering to each other and growing elsewhere in the body or metastasis. It appears that ths citrus pectin blocks the surface of cancer cells from angiongenisis, or from attracting blood vessels, which in turn essentially starves the cells.

The modified citrus pectin being used in the research was developed by Dr. Eliaz. He notes that this pectin can have a specific effect on the cancer itself from early stages through advanced. It is safe and it does not work through hormonal induced mechanisms which makes it an excellent agent to be used in conjunction with other therapies.

As wise physicians know, medicine should be your food and food should be your medicine. The answers have always been close at hand. This is one very promising natural complement to an arsenal of therapies physicians might choose to employ, nonetheless, it should be considered a critical component.

Deep penetration with the woman utilizing kegel during intercourse and the man practicing kegel exercises are also helpful additions. It is used as a first step for treating urinary incontinence, however, it may be beneficial for reducing pre-mature ejaculation, and other sexual benefits have been reported.

Overall, the exercise is good for both men and for women as well. The importance of complete release is imperative to prostate health. If a woman provides a kegel squeeze during ejaculation it is said to help support prostate health due to more complete emptying of semen. With practice you should be successful at strengthening this muscle.

Another important aid to prostate health is a gentle prostate massage which can be done during intercourse if both parties are accepting of the activity. And this is something that should be done with a latex gloved hand and lubricant. Details for performing this activity may be found on line or by asking your physician.

So many people do not enjoy the full effect of sexual intercourse done correctly to support the wellness of both sexes. Fully engaging in lovemaking on every level will aid in your physical, mental and emotional health.
