Cardio Edge Review

Cardio-Edge is a dietary supplement by Tsang Nutrition. It is claimed to be “Scientifically-based cardiovascular and cholesterol support with Sytrinol.” The good thing about Cardio-Edge seems to be that it supplies at least 400 mg of Plant Sterols, otherwise also known as Phytosterols. On the other hand, the promotional offer for Cardio-Edge may not be as attractive as some other cholesterol-lowering supplements on the market.

Although hypercholesterolemia may be quite common and potentially dangerous, individuals have a choice: whether to go with prescription drugs with potential side effects, or to look for natural means. Therefore, in this review we will discuss hypercholesterolemia and how Plant Sterols may offer support. We will also look at Cardio-Edge in some detail, and conclude whether we may do better by trusting in some better, natural supplements.

As mentioned above, Cardio-Edge supplies 400 mg of Phytosterols. It also supplies 150 mg of Sytrinol, which is a trademark of KGK Synergize. Sytrinol is a proprietary blend of polymethoxylated flavones and tocotrienols from citrus and palm fruit. Besides these, Cardio-Edge also contains Pomegranate Extract, standardized to 40% Ellagic Acid. However, we believe that the formula in question may not supply the optimum amount of these Plant Sterols.

The question then is essentially about how much Phytosterols may be sufficient and optimum for the body to meaningfully reduce LDL levels. The market may have a number of formulas similar to the product in review; in fact, about 200-500 mg seems to be the norm. However, some recent studies seem to show that we may have to take significantly more of these Phytosterols to really lower the bad cholesterol count.
